this is my dislocated shoulder: a two year glimpse into the austin music scene
hello my lovelies!
during the month of march i will have 30+ fotos hanging on the walls of thunderbird coffe on east manor road.

bit of some night life from the early parts of septiembre 2010
my buddy trey aka manolo black invited me to the machete premiere afterpart @ austin studios. there were loads of free dos equis, apparently some tacos, austin cum l.a. types, celebrities like peligrosa all star @dj orión, lax's ms. erin j., ms. elise g. & mr. javier v.. oh, & danny trejo, michelle rodriguez, ken leung, robert rodriguez, davíd garza were also there.

after a homely mothers day weekend i got to enjoy some of my good homies' acoustic sets @ hole in the wall.
i believe gene from the versatile syndicate put this shindig together.

sxswhatttt?!?!?! or sxsfree!!!, march 20th 2010
check out some of the freeness we got into saturday.
even though the weather was bitter fucking cold, we kept warm @ the mess with texas party with holy fuck & fucked up. my besties from unwed fathers warmed us up @ thunderbird east, thanks to giant steps productions for setting up a great line-up.
the vice saves texas party was totally worth the 1+ hour wait outside of the starr building. this was a great venue! the starr building is being renovated, some rooms were blocked off, the stage was set up in the main foyer, beams & wiring exposed made for a great atmosphere for les savy fav, cheeseburger, davila 666, happy birthday & dj mr. jonathan toubin.

watching the moon, autons & unwed fathers @ creekside live, july 15th 2009
sometimes the hurricanes don't stop @ creekside live!
my homeboys from unwed fathers, autons and watching the moon played to a room of true believers last wednesday.
this was one of the last unwed fathers show before their west coast tour & upcoming release of their much awaited recording "does anyone remember lily white?" check out the unwed fathers myspace, leave 'em a comment & wish 'em godspeed on their travels.
tony brownlow got a good workout from a double duty on drums w/autons & watching the moon. looking forward to both bands' upcoming releases. keep a look out!

sonido boombox happy hour @ sazon ft. peligrosa all-stars + unwed fathers @ agave june 17th 2009
as y'all can probably already tell from all the foto sets, i've been hangin' out w/the peligrosa all stars quite a bit. they've anointed the honor of unofficial fotographer ;)
dj orión asked me take pictures @ their 1st gig w/metv's sonido boombox show. my man frank mendoza peep'd me to paul saucido & the saucido slant blog. paul's the host of sonido boombox & he had used some of my fotos from the ozomatli gig @ republic square park. we met @ sazon & he told me that if i took pictures of the filming, he'd use 'em on his blog. it was a great time hangin' w/manolo black, hobo d & dj orión, gettin' some good fotos of the interviews, drinkin' some coooold tecates & shootin' the shit for the 1st time w/dj pagame aka jaimito! oh! & i got to meet one of my ex's nemesis... it was a pleasure lydia!

my big brother dave played a quick set on a slow night @ agave on 6th. for some of austin's n00bs, a lil' bit of local history; agave used to be what plush is now. this is where bands like games & theory, bitter tongues, in praise of folly, bohemian grove disco, assacre, oceanus, mad vega, the kirby, indofin, transmography, gary clark jr., jamie bullard, mayor, steers, velorum, the tuna helpers & many more came up. check out some of the links & take a trip back in recent history.

been mega busy lately & didn't get around to posting this set 'til now. my broder dave & the unwed fathers played their monthly @ clementine coffee bar w/an acoustic set by amplight skyline. i've been told that the unwed fathers & friends night is the best show for clementine! there are 3 reasons for this:
1. the fathers BRING IT!!!
2. the fathers have awesomely talented musician friends
3. the fathers have tons of alcoholic amigos!!! yay!
