dj orión ft. king louie @ creekside live + uLOVEi ft. dj fuckmefuckme @ end bar/biker gallery, may 14th 2010
it's friday night bitches & the weekends here i need to unwind with the party, mr deeeee jaaaaay!!!
okay, so i mentioned in the crybaby last post that i've been tryin' to be a good boi during the week. well, not so much during the weekend!
my favorite colombiano/german/panameño/puerto-rican/who-knows-what-other-nationality dj, @orión, got the innards of creekside bumpin' again for his weekly party. @king louie was in the spot as well, for an unofficial 'a bailar cabron' set. the purrrdy ladies & the handsome bois got sweaty & durrrrrty on the dancefloor!
the afterparty was again @ end bar//biker gallery. the new anti-dj @fuckmefuckme of the scene made this dive all hot & + sweaty. @uLOVEi made sure the beat kept bumpin'.

MSTRKRFT + orión + king louie @ republic douche, october 30th 2009
one of my favorite dj acts came to town, but probs the worst nightclub.
i don't know how much the republic douche owner/promoter paid toronto, canada's MSTRKRFT, but it must've been a pretty shiny motherfuckin' nickel!
the crowd was thick w/douchebaggery, shitty über gel'd hair, tight ed hardy t-shirts & the female version of that.
the red river/7th street scene was rep'd proper by my boys orión & king louie. they definitely got the crowd bumpin' before our northern visitors dropped in & bounced off w/their bottle of crown.
the peen scene was all up on it w/some great shots to the dome! ;) fuckin' kids need to know better than to mess w/mike & jenn scene!
i nearly got my ass kicked by a gang of 6 mexican fresas/wannabe tuffs. conveniently brave when bow'n up to a skinny geek w/out his homies. had to twice talk 'em out of beating on me 'cause i wasn't the one who whooped on their holmes. jeesh!
i'm really glad to hear that some of my peeps got their $ back.
enough bullshit! aside from the drama kids, the music is all that mattered:

dj swamp @ barcelona + table manners crew w/king louie @ plush + orión @ creekside, september 19th 2009
3 bars + 5 dj's + 1 horny immigrant = a dirty good time.
dj swamp is one crazy motherfucker! but he's a mad genius on the decks. got to see the beginning of his set @ barcelona & i'm so glad to have made it. last time i saw 'im @ red eyed fly, it was kind of a let down. this time, in the coziness of austin's only dirty/basement/dj/electronic-music bar, he killed!
next up my homeboy king louie joined forces w/dj digg + kid slyce of table manners crew to rippin' good times @ plush. gooch!
i stopped by creekside lounge right before closing time to say hi to my homeboy orión & got some choice snaps of the kids doing naughty/dirty things:

2 live crew @ mohawk, say what! @ plush, trouble & bass crew @ booty, & after party @ music gym! june 25th 2009
hawt diggity! this was an EPIC night!
started out @ rabbit's on e. 6th shootin' the filmin' of sonido boombox's intro [can't show this foto set 'til the video's debut], then book'd it majorly to mohawk so i could "sneak" in w/orión & his gear, drank some brews, hung out w/the honeys from avant salon, got some shots of the openin' acts [richardhenry/orión, ms. prissy, dubb sicks & dmg$], then 2 live crew got on stage & got the big/small booty h0@s to shake it on the dance floor!
i kinda got fed up w/the show & roll'd to plush for some bassline/electro/fidget/bmore courtesy of mez one, cauze one, dubbel dutch & orión. got totally blitzed & "high w/a little help from my friends". even got to dance w/some lovely birds!
still had a lil' bit of time to check out the trouble & bass crew @ booty bar. DANG! those kids seriously bring the noize. i really wanna catch an entire set by these cats!
after hours was a must for so many great shows on the 7th/red river district. music gym did not disappoint! it was a total sweaty mess w/king louie, orión & anna love on the 1's & 2's. seems like everyone who came out to mohawk/plush/booty decided to prolong the night @ the gym.
wherever mj went, he must've been lookin' up/down on tons of kids dancin' the night away! such bittersweet night...
@ around 3:30am i somehow ;) managed to sober up enough to realize that it was time to ride home, sleep 4 hours & get to work...

a bailar cabron & empty bottles @ creekside lounge, june 12th 2009
i apologize if this post doesn't make any sense, but i'm totally fatigued & nearly delirious.
from what i remember this night was pretty fuckin' awesome! i got to chill w/my holmes javier @ industry. it was a mellow night, w/king louie & john gomi on the wheels of steel, a keg & good people. louie talked me into tossin' my bike in the back of his roomie's suv so i could help 'im take his gear to creekside. r.o.t. rally weekend made us park like 5 blocks away, luggin' 2 heavy turntables, a mixer & a laptop. met up w/el mero dave, orión, mexijen, vanessa & heather. a bailar cabron was a success once again!

to add on to the silliness dave & i ran into tyson [of pack o' squirrels fame]. turned out that his murder city devils cover band, empty bottles, was playin' the inside stage @ creekside. i somehow managed to get in w/out payin', but missed about half the set. tyson & dave got totally shithouse! so much that teeson ended up a wreck on stage... it was still a fun/fun/fun time & i think the pix show it.
