@l.a.x. is doin' it & doin' it & doin' it well!
these boys & girls are certainly on an upward trajectory. they always put on a great show & for their "a ep" release party, they certainly did not disappoint.
@knuckle rumbler put on a great party along w/alison narro on photobooth duty, @dj orión makin' sure everyone kept 'em booties shakin' between sets & @frank hot dogs & cold beer providin' $10 gift certificates for all attendees!
had a great time w/loads of good peeps.

free week 2010
this year i did not get a chance to revel in the amazingness that is free week.
it was free week on steroids. there were waaaaay more venues. waaaaay more bands. waaaay more fun. it seemed like a smaller/cooler version of sxsw.
it all started waaaaay back in the evening january 8th, 2010.
@ the mohawk i got to check out cartright.
@ the parish the house was packed for auto body & l.a.x.
@ booty bar betaplayer & prince klassen held it down.
it all ended the next evening @ red 7 & a little jaunt to the music gym.
on 1st was watching the moon then the boys from eagle claw, & finally shitty carwash.

fun fun fun fest 2009 @ waterloo park, november 7 + 8 2009
this is really OUR festival!
got to hang out w/tons of friends, met tons of new friends, saw tons of great bands, said goodbye [for now?] to an amazing band of friends, got totally muddy, totally drunk, totally wet & most of all... totally fun/fun/fun!
thanks to austinist for getting me hooked up w/a media wristband, some tasty coffee & breakfast tacos. thanks to the peligrosa all stars for hooking up the backstage access to their set for some great pictures!
i had the pleasure of meeting & shootin' the shit w/chris cubas of the altercation punk comedy group, also shook hands w/king khan right after he played guitar, backing up gza the genius. the blue stage manager told me NOT to take pics of a certain well endowed young sister's heiny ;). i totally mcgyver'd a plastic bag cover for my camera during sunday's downpour. gza the genius gave me some of his miller lite [?] & totes drunkenly hit on my homegirl Y. got called out by todd barry for using my flash during his set, even though i asked him before-hand whether i could.
more tidbits will be added as i remember them [did i mention i got pretty drunk that weekend?]

partyends summer extrav-o-ganza IV w/peligrosa + harlem @ lake travis & l.a.x. @ emo's, august 27th 2009
hobo d & orión of peligrosa all stars kept the partyends' party barge bumpin' during this crazy weather thursday [we got hot ass swimming weather then a crazy storm at the end of the party]. harlem were oh sooooo sweeeet! can't wait to catch these kids again.

l.a.x., show me tiger!, eagle claw & orión @ the independent at 501 studios, august 15th, 2009
this was a really cool party @ the independent. it started @ 11:45pm & was b.y.o.hooch! party went on 'til 4am! started out w/some [mostly] instrumental metal from eagle claw, then show me tiger!'s last show :( closin' out the night [dance with} l.a.x. & in between sets orión made sure asses were shakin' non-stop.
